Awake now
Doing a lot of circuit training here waiting to start my infantry course. These trainers are making our muscles tremble and give out before the end of the class. I love these trainers. They tell us we are being weak and we cant give up keep going…keep going…its only two minutes for every step…wake the f* up…dont stop….GO GO GO!  You think you rock your personal...

On PAT for my infantry course. All the men are telling me that I better hope I get on with the right course because one of them does not take women. They do everything they can to make us fail off or sign a voluntary release and for years its worked. Challenge: accepted.

5 weeks in
Im doing my basic military training with bronchitis. Toughed it out like a boss, finally getting better after 2 weeks of struggling with being able to breathe. I even stopped breathing during a PT session, it was like my lungs had seized up. Five minutes later, as soon as I could breathe again I continued with my PT. If I can push through all of the obstacles because of being sick I can never...

Ooops
Well, it happened. I trained too hard without rest and now I am burned out. I have a cold and I can barely move. Looks like my rest day is not even going to include yoga. Just goes to show, we feel like Superman when we work out, but we certainly are NOT. We break, we get tired and we NEED REST DAYS to get stronger and better. Lesson: learned. Take at least 1-2 days rest a week from any physical...

Good news
My hard work and dedication is about to pay off. I will be gone for a little over a month because im going to my military training in two weeks. I cant wait for a new challenge, even though its likely to be a mental challenge.

quick update
I have a new focus, a new urge to reach my goal. It will not always be easy to stay away from pizzas, but its starting to kick in again that its not worth it. If I dont stop eating badly I will NEVER reach my fitness goal. Its just the reality of the game. The sooner I accept it, the better. I have been increasing the weight I lift, and my legs are starting to look damn good considering its where...

Happy leg day
215lbs = the amount of weight I used for my leg press today. I weigh about 124lbs at 5’5”, with 16% body fat so even though its not spectacular, im pretty damn proud of myself. I had been doing it at 135 for 2 months and decided that I not only needed a challenge but it was time to bring the weight up. It was not “easy” but it was possible to complete 3 sets of ten.  My...

Uneducated 101
A good friend of mine wrote to me yesterday telling me that “Women should not be allowed into the combat trades because even a fit woman is the equal of an average unfit man.”. Safe to say im going to break this asshat in two, then bench his stupid ass until he apologizes. This mentality will follow me throughout my career and generally does not bother me because I know what I am...
